Publisher's summary

Life is hard. But life s challenges get much, much harder when we make bad decisions. Bad decisions are painful. They usually cost a lot of money and even alter the course of our lives. Foolish decisions make life profoundly more complicated and difficult than it needs to be. There was once a king who had much to say about wisdom. In fact, he was known as the wisest man who ever lived. He is King Solomon of ancient Israel. And if you re willing to listen, he left a treasure that speaks powerfully to us today.

In this book, Terry Allen presents the wisdom of King Solomon as a usable tool for modern culture, offering practical answers to some of our most pressing concerns that all of us face every day: money and business, relationships and family issues, leadership, personal development and spirituality. In this book, you'll discover a treasure that will pay huge dividends in your life, in your future, and in the future of those you love.

Wisdom is a verb!

Terry Allen has written an excellent book deriving life principles from the life and biblical writings of King Solomon...Reading it was like holding up a mirror to my life. This book is a call to action to practice wisdom and to take inventory of personal behaviors requiring necessary change. Terry emphasizes being teachable and seeking wise counsel from mentors and close relationships as to identify personal flaws and blind spots.

Excellent book with wise advice for every day life

In this book, author Terry Allen, takes the wise words of King Solomon, from the book of Proverbs, and provides sound advice that can be applied to every day life. He addresses how to make wise choices in business, relationships, finances, marriage, parenting, in building your character, and many areas in between. This book provides the reader an opportunity to look inward and reflect on choices that are made every day. It is not riddled with guilt or shame, it urges the reader to make wise choices, which in turn provides a life that reaps the benefits of those wise choices. This is a book I will pick up over and over again. I also plan to gift it to every college graduate I know. Excellent read!
