The journey

Good lord, I’ve never been more invested in a story than this series. I often feel as though their struggles are my own and I’m right there with them in the moment. SLF writes in such a way that just feels genuine to the situation. I can’t wait for the next book cause I need it yesterday.

Never disappoints

As always she never disappoints. Sarah Lyons Fleming gives us a great story of a continuing saga.

Emotional Roller Coaster

There was the classic slow build. The characters started to relax, make plans, build a life. Slowly and methodically the plot was driven forward, filled with hints of the future to come. Just as the story stalls, you are sent careening down a hill in a seemingly uncontrolled descent. You are pushed and pulled with action, scares, adrenaline, and emotions. You are left feeling emotionally hollow, physically weak, with a touch of meloncalia. At the end, you are glad you took the ride, and ready to take it again.

Love the Cascadia series and Sarah’s other related series. I can’t get enough and am so happy this one will continue.

Outstanding!

It starts off a little slow, with small hills and waves here and there, gradually building. You know something big is coming. Then it goes from a level 2 excitement to level 10 in a matter of seconds. This book packs a powerful punch, and it hits hard. I was anxious, terrified, horrified, sickened, and grief stricken. Wow! Before reading this one, I was thinking about how much I liked Sarah Lyons Fleming's The City series. It was my favorite of her series until this book. I didn't think this series would ever top that, but this book blew that series out of the water. Amazing and incredible book! The performance was excellent too.

I’ve never experienced such an emotional bond to characters as I did with these. Sarah has a blistering ability to suck you right out of your life and drop you into her story. I’ve never enjoyed anyone’s writing the way I enjoy hers. It’s exquisite…It truly is… I’ve read every one of her books 3 times over and when I finish one I start to crave another one….so I’ll just start them over again. Thank you SLF. This is a beautiful thing you’ve given all of us zombie fans. Although I hope you know that you have ruined all other zombie books for me. Literally nobody else compares. NOTHING COMPARES TO THESE BOOKS!!

Love the story lines with each book, the adventures, and especially the characters! So much more than just another zombie book!

that was so Good! character development is spot on. reminds me of the walking dead where it's about the people, not the Zombies. I love this series and I can't wait for the next book, don't leave us hanging!

This book is just like the others and I love it!! I laughed I cried and was always on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait for more!
