the performance was energetic and entertaining, the only voice I didn't love was the voice of Garrosh. This narration was a much welcome change to Scott Brick who seems to almost ruin every book I try to listen to, please I beg for a remastery of all the other warcraft novels narrated by him.

Great WOW book marred by some voice acting
WOW books are very hit or miss. This one certainly falls in the hit category. The story moves and is not stocked with obvious filler scenes like so many other WOW books. Characters are pushed to their limits, which makes for good drama. The only issue is the voice acting. While the narrator has a sweet voice and is fine for the Alliance characters, she simply cannot pull off the gruff tones of the Horde characters. She should have opted to just read those lines instead of acting them out. Those Horde scenes were embarrassing because of this. If you can get past that you will be rewarded with a very good WOW book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Was a great book to listen to. I know they seem to be putting the new books out on audio book more these days. However I wish they would work on putting the older ones out in the near future to. If anyone knows anything of this happening eventually I would love to know.
Any additional comments?

Dealt with the narrator for the awesome story
Christie Golden delivers again. The story was amazing and well written. My problem was with the narrator, Justine Eyre. When she was speaking normally, it was fine. However, she tried to do voices and most of them weren't so great. A few were practically intolerable. If you can get past her trying her hardest to pull off the deep, angry commands of Garrosh Hellscream in what sounds like someone on their death bed groaning and whispering with their tongue tied in knots, then the rest of the book is worth it. Oh, and Shandris Feathermoon sounds so properly old-world British that she should be at a tea party rather than a war council, but alas...
This is a fantastic book that segues into the conflict proper in the World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria expansion (as in, the game). It doesn't necessarily serve as a great standalone story if you aren't familiar with the game, however. But if you do play and love the lore, read this!

I really felt the emotions the author was trying to elicit in this book. It was very well written and the characters felt like themselves.
The performer was spot on with the female characters, although the males were a bit lacking.
