Not as bad or as good as other reviews state

I felt the storyline was interesting. I, too, felt the sex scene was more explicit than it should have been for the rest of the book. I felt most of the dialogue was pretty realistic. People who are psychologically close are usually pretty down to earth in their communication. The way the deaths of the family were handled was not realistic. Eighteen months for three deaths and lying to the police, the hospital and the insurance companies is so unrealistic and we were not given a minute of that outcome. Just a mediocre book that could have, should have, been better.

loved it

This was a not put me down read. Loved the storyline. Some words could have been offensive to some I guess. They were pertinent to the feel of the story. And it's about the past and how far we have come or not.

I have been an Audible listener for many years. This was a free listen, so I didn’t expect much. This was one of my favorites.
The character development and the story line kept me engaged through to the end. Fern Michaels paints a descriptive picture that makes you feel as if you are right there, experiencing every moment.
Great narration that flowed naturally between the main characters. Can’t say enough about this book.

Such well developed characters!

The narration was so spot on I had clear visions of each character. Their growth through time, their strengths and weaknesses. Loved every minute of the story.

I truly enjoyed listening to this. Both the story and the performance were great. I liked the twist in the story.

I can’t decide if I like these characters or not?

I enjoyed this book, but I found it very frustrating and for a large part of the book, I did not even like the main characters. The storylines pretty good, but just hard to listen to when the characters were often so unlikable.

Yesterday

Fern Michaels books keep getting better and better. You get drawn into them, while the story lines, have a heart felt meaning, drawing you to tears, awe, amazement, wonder, and shock.

Loved it

Absolutely loved this book. The meaning behind the story is great. The narrator has a different voice for every character. The only thing that bothered me, was they made Pearl seem like she was dumb. Otherwise great story and I highly recommend.

Book had interesting plot line.

Reader read too fast which affected the the subject matter. I slowed the reading speed and it changed everything. Gave it much more understanding of the circumstances. Good book. Very much recommend.
