"I'm going to die a hundred years before I was born...."

The handwritten note was in a dusty trunk that sat in a cave untouched for 150 years. What did the words mean? When journalist Ray Burton finds the trunk near the Arizona ghost town of Hollow Rock, his life changes in an instant.

Something in the trunk shouldn’t be there.

This begins a dangerous journey of discovery bordering on the impossible. A discovery that will affect the past, the present, and the future.

The performance I found to be robotic....I actually thought it was auto-read by a bot until I checked later that it was a person. The plot I found to be simplistic. I was annoyed by the main character making many statements of plot convenience.

The story was a bit juvenile and predictable, but could have been entertaining. The narration, however, was just awful. To me it was like a 6th grader reading a story in English class. I was going to give Part 2 a shot until I saw it had the same narrator, so I called it quits on the series.

Narration killed the story

I use audible a lot. I have never written a review before and probably should have. This book is amoung the best I have listened to. Very well written and believable time travel. Hope you decide to listen and enjoy. Wayne.

Pretty Good to Excellant

A good concept, but the flat, staccato narration detracts from the story. "Three more words" for the review.

Stilted performance degrades the experience

Difficult as it is, I am continually to listen to this book as I enjoy the story. The narrator is probably the worst I’ve ever heard. He runs on sentences and speeds through it to the point I cringe constantly while trying to get through it. What a shame to ruin book like this!
