A sweet SciFi romance

This is a sweet romance story. The storyline is well thought out, and the characters are fairly well developed. There are sexy times, but nothing I would call erotica. There is some action toward the end of the book, and of course we get our HEA.

The one thing that really got on my nerves was the constant use of dialogue being described as "in a cold way" or "in a cold manner" or some other variation using the word "cold."

I thought the narrator did a very good job. His inflections were spot on, his characters were differentiated well, and it was a very smooth performance. As with a lot of male narrators, his female characters were not quite as easily identified, but he did as well as some I have heard.

Outer Space Hotness

This was not one of my favorite types of story as I am not a big Sifi fan, but held my interest all the way. A mild tearjerker full of mystery. Why did his soulmate disappear, where did she go at such a young age, and when would Zoltan ever find love again? Zoltan is forced to leave his home planet by his Uncle who wishes to be King. Due to a crazy law that says a King must have a soulmate, Zoltan's Uncle plots against him by kidnapping the young child destined to be Zoltan's mate, then forces him to leave the planet. Zoltan ends up on Earth where he starts a new life. At his friends wedding he meets a captivating woman and his life changes, again. Steamy and exciting read. The narrator Randi Johnson, does a great job of bringing the voices to life. He is vastly improving with each new book. I look forward to new books and listens from them both.

A short sweet Sci Fi Romance Story

A short sweet Sci Fi Romance Story. It has a sweet romance in this story and sex. The chapter breaks are in kind of weird places and the story is predictable but I still enjoyed it. I would recommend it.

A light paranormal romance.......

Zorban's Destiny is a paranormal romance, but it is fairly light on the paranormal elements. Other than the very beginning and the very end, this could be just a normal romance story about two lost people finding each other. Zorban is an alien living in disguise as a human on Earth after fleeing his home planet of Thalia. Zorban's father is king on Thalia, Zorban is next in line to the throne, and his uncle is constantly scheming to take the throne for himself. Although he has made a good life for himself on Earth, Zorban often feels the loss of his family, friends and entire way of life. Enter Leah, a reclusive artist living in Alaska, whose amazing ice sculptures make her talents sought around the country. However, she is completely alone in her world, with no family and no friends other than her pets. She was never close to either of her parents, and she is emotionally unavailable to the point that her acquaintances refer to her as the ice queen.

Quite by accident, Zorban and Leah meet and end up trapped together in her house during a severe snow storm. For days, they have only each other for company, and they develop a strong friendship and an even stronger passion towards each other. Of course, they are both hiding secrets from each other, and, between their own insecurities and plenty of interference from external forces, they have quite a challenge to reach an HEA. Luckily for the reader, this led to plenty of nail-biting scenes of both the action and the angst variety. Overall, I found this a very enjoyable paranormal romance, perfect for those preferring less world building and more relationship building in their love stories.

Randi Johnson does a great job with the narration. He has a very smooth voice, and he differentiates well between characters. I thought that he handled both male and female voice well, and his narration definitely added to my appreciation of this audiobook.

Fun Listen!

This was my first TJ Quinn's book. This is Sci-Fi Alien Romance. In the Thalia's world, soul mates are all that matter, and from birth they search for each other. Prince Zorban met his soul mate, Lena, when she had only 18 months old (which is weird), and he had to wait she is an adult to marry her. Unfortunately, she was kidnapped, and then the soul mate quest began, for years. Besides the weird thing about the soul mates from birth, the plot is predictable, but interesting and captivating. The characters are great, the storyline is fun, sweet, steamy, fast-paced, intriguing, and filled with twists and turns. I love the heartwarming happy ending. Randi Johnson did a great job with the narration. He has a great voice, entertaining! This was a fun listen. LOVED IT!

I loved it. The narration was great and kept you entertained. The author did a good job with the character builds and plot. I read this book because any time I'm given the opportunity to listen to one of Randi Johnson's (the narrator) performances, I won't refuse it. I have listened to 4 books that were narrated by Randi Johnson and I can guarantee you'll be amazed at how he gives the story that extra flair! Nice

I got this ARC via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. The story started off with the soulmates meeting when the female was only 18 months old. He then had to wait until she grew up but in the meantime, there were several plot twists in between that almost made their HEA not happen, clever. The narrtion was good.

Enjoyed this Short Story

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. This alien romance was well written giving the listener a little bit of everything, suspense, thrill and romance. I thought the beginning was different when the Prince meets his sole mate who is only 18 months old. Weird. However, the rest of the story makes sense as it continues. This is one story that you want to stick to until the end. The narrator did a great job with the characters and their personalities. Some male narrators do a terrible job with the female parts, but this narrator didn't try too hard and the female characters came off perfect.
