After a long bout of sickness, our 7 year old daughter asked, "Is Jesus mad at me?" As heartbreaking as this felt for a us as parents, it's a question adults also struggle with from time to time. Especially when life gets hard and His voice feels distant.

In this episode, Josh and Melissa discuss how they responded to this question. We'll also dive into how the love of God has nothing to do with anything we've done, pulling from scriptures in Titus, Psalms, and 1 Peter.

  • A whisper
    Dec 2 2025

Ever been desperate to hear from God? So was Elijah. In 1 Kings 19 it says God wasn't in the wind, the earthquake, or the fire...He chose to speak to Elijah in a gentle whisper. Why a whisper? Could it be because a whisper would force Elijah to be engaged? Alert? Intently listening for the voice of God?

The world knows how to grab our attention! All it takes is flashy, overly dramatic, and over the top dopamine hits. But God will often choose a different route to speak to His children.

How many times have we been looking for God in the massive moments? He absolutely can speak in loud ways, but there's something special about Him getting our attention through a whisper.
