A man may go down many trails in his lifetime. His reasons for traveling certain trails may at various times be planned or unplanned, seeking good fortune or running from danger. They may be traveled alone or with others. In "the Many Trails of Garrett Marshall" we travel with Garrett whose life story is told through the trails he takes. From his home place - a small farm in Ohio - he goes down the first trail to the horrors of the Civil War. After returning home to disappointment, he heads west, meets an old friend and makes new ones who share his life and adventures. His life on the Plains leads to his taking a trail to Arizona and a completely different life when he meets Santina, a young Apache girl. Life is not easy for the couple caught in the conflict between the Apache and the white man. Be a part of the beauty, harshness, action, love and adventures they share in the uncertain days of the late 1800s. The people that Garrett encounters and the places in his travels come alive through the writing of a new, skillful writer, C. R. Wilson.
