נמצאים אנו בערב חג הפסח - ה"ראשון לרגלים", ובו מתחילים כבר עניני הפסח - קרבן פסח ומצות "תשביתו שאור"; היום הוא יום הולדת של הרמב"ם [ולהעיר שבדרך כלל לא מפורסם ימי ההולדת של גדולי ישראל] ויש לנצלו לעורר עוה"פ אודות השיעורים בלימוד הרמב"ם; יש להזכיר גם אודות ההוספה בלימוד תורתו של הצ"צ - בעל יום ההילולא די"ג ניסן; כאן המקום לעורר ע"ד ההשתדלות בנתינת צרכי החג, שיהיו "מצה ומרור מונחים לפניך" - לפני כאו"א מישראל; ויה"ר שתיכף ומיד ממש תבוא הגאולה האמיתית והשלימה ובאים "עם ענני שמיא" לארצנו הקדושה "ונאכל שם מן הזבחים ומן הפסחים" וכו'. ועוד.

Today is Erev Pesach, the “first of the festivals”; it is the time of the final preparations for the holiday, including the Korban Pesach and the mitzvah to obliterate chametz. Today is also the Rambam’s birthday (and notably, we don’t know the birthdays of most great Jewish leaders), and therefore it’s an opportunity to once again emphasize the study of the daily Rambam. It is also an opportunity to encourage more study of the teachings of the Tzemach Tzedek, whose yom hilulah is on 13 Nissan, and the efforts toward providing every Jew with all their holiday needs, in such a way that everything is “placed before you.” May it be Hashem’s will that we merit the true and complete Redemption immediately, and go “with heavenly clouds” to our Holy Land, “and eat there from the sacrifices and from the Pesach sacrifices.”
