  • Cookie is a wife and mom of 3 living in a remote part of Alaska. She tells the story of how 2023 began with a bang… and not in a good way. Her house flooded, and the year just kept hammering her family with trauma after trauma… such as a shocking physical assault from someone she thought was a friend and with her children present… to the deaths of beloved family members including her brother-in-law and mom.

    Through it all, she shows us how she made life-affirming choices to help her heal, and has emerged with a stronger self, a stronger marriage family, and a determination to love herself to make each day count.
