    Today in Nashville, Tennessee, we're looking at a scorcher! Expect plenty of sunshine with temperatures reaching a high near 101 degrees Fahrenheit. It's gonna feel even hotter though, with heat index values soaring up to 111. Keep cool and stay hydrated out there. The breeze will be coming from the south-southwest at around 5 to 10 miles per hour, eventually shifting west in the afternoon.

    As we move into the night, there's a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, particularly between 2 am and 3 am. It will be partly cloudy with a low around 77 degrees Fahrenheit. The southwest wind will be blowing gently at about 5 miles per hour.

    Looking ahead to Wednesday, get ready for some showers and thunderstorms likely, especially after 1 pm. Keep an eye out for heavy rainfall with partly sunny skies and a high near 94 degrees Fahrenheit. Heat index values could still reach as high as 102. The west wind will be blowing at 5 to 10 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is around 60 percent, with potential new rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch.
