  • Unique was just a busy 20 year old college student when she got devastating news — she had multiple incurable, chronic neurological conditions that would make her disabled and rob her of so much of her independence. She lost her ability to go to school, go to work, and to drive in just a few short months. Now legally blind, she has had 17 surgeries and is on multiple medications to manage her conditions.

    Grieving the loss of the life and abilities you knew is not something we really talk about much, but need to, as Unique’s courageous testimony demonstrates. Unique brings her special and gracious perspective on this topic, and shares how despite her physical limitations, has been able to go on and lead a fulfilling life with a loving husband and young son. She is also an author, business owner, and has a foundation to help others who find themselves grappling with chronic illness.

    Unique is a gifted young woman who personifies grace and calm, overcoming adversity with humor and hard-won wisdom.
