08-30-2024 - Geomagnetic, Solar, and Radio Activity Observations and Forecast

  • Summary

  • Alright folks, let's dive into the 3-Day Forecast brought to you by the U.S. Department of Commerce and NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center.

First up, NOAA's Geomagnetic Activity Observation and Forecast. It looks like we're experiencing some calm space weather with Kp levels staying below any NOAA Scale excitement. Expect those levels to remain low over the next few days.

Moving on to Solar Radiation Activity, things are cool as a cucumber. Solar radiation has been behaving well below any storm level thresholds. However, there's a slim 10% chance of a minor S1 solar radiation storm greeting us through September 1st.

And for those radio enthusiasts, the Radio Blackout Activity and Forecast have no spicy news to report. No radio blackouts in the past 24 hours, but there's a 60% likelihood of Minor to Moderate radio blackouts hanging around, with just a touch of a 10% chance for any stronger surprises.

So, in a nutshell, it seems like smooth sailing in the space weather department, with just a hint of potential solar flair to keep things interesting.
