  • Gender flight is a phenomenon that has been observed for years. From nursing, through teaching to biology, men tend to abandon the fields women enter. But why are they so quick to flee? Do they feel it’s beneath them to do a “woman’s job”, or maybe they’re just scared of being upskilled? Whatever the reason, there’s no denying the severe negative effects this phenomenon has on female dominated fields, underfunding being one of them.

    In this episode we discuss potential causes and implications of the gender flight phenomenon and ask ourselves whether it will ever be stopped.
