In this episode, I challenge the way that our culture regards identity. From the time we are young, we receive subtle messages that encourage us to attach our identities to a career or things. Underlying these messages is the suggestion that we have to define our identities at all. I explain that to capture the entirety of our existence in merely a few adjectives or words sells our human experience short and has the potential to lead to suffering. I suggest a different way of thinking that allows for more flexibility to just be and experience different versions of yourself without the need to constantly define it. Thank you for listening!! :)
