  • During this episode, I tell an INTENSE story of a man that briefly followed me and scared me. Although everything turned out okay, and I was safe in the end, I want to let you know I got some anxiety while recording. The middle section of the episode might be triggering. This was not a story I expected to tell, and it definitely was not how I wanted to end my personal empowerment podcast series. However, in order to create a series about personal power I must acknowledge that systems of power exist, and that we are navigating those while also navigating our own personal journeys. Getting into what it means to be an empowered woman in a world still dominated by the patriarchy was honestly not something I ever planned to do. I had expected to keep this series pretty light and focus on tips, reflection questions, and boundary setting. But I knew if I didn't tell this story, as I experienced it, I wouldn't be doing the very thing I set out to do: Face my deepest fears, no matter what.
