Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.

This is a series of prayers on forgiveness, prayer one.

Father God in the name of Jesus, we give you glory and honor, and praise. And we worship your name. Your name is holy. You are our God and our Lord and our savior. We thank you, God, that our sins are forgiven in your name. We have confessed you as our Lord and our savior. We have acknowledged that Jesus is the son of God and that he rose from the dead.

We have repented of our sins and we thank you that our forgiveness is secured in heaven. And God, your word teaches us to forgive. For you said forgive us, our debts as we forgive our debtors. So God, as we practice forgiveness, forgiveness is reciprocal. We forgive others and then we are forgiven.

And then again, God in scripture you told us that when we stand praying to forgive everyone that has an out against us. So, God, we practice forgiveness and we forgive everyone that's ever hurt us. Everyone that has ever said things that hurt our feelings or whatever the offense was we forgive it now in Jesus' name.

And we release ourselves to new freedom. That's only found in forgiveness. We thank you, God, that you have taught us your way and your way is better. And forgiveness is your way. For it's in the name of Jesus that we pray. Amen. And amen.
