  • Often we live in the past or the future. Worrying about things we’ve done that we can’t change OR about the things we need to do. Where we’re moving to next,when the bigger pay packet will come etc.

    We say ‘when I have this much money I’ll be happy’ or ‘When I get this promotion I’ll be able to slow down’ or  ‘Once I reach this next milestone I’ll be able to do fun things again’. We do this as if happiness is something that can be saved up and experienced at a later date. 

    Famous author Eckhart Tolle once wrote in his book ‘The Power of Now’ “Life is now. There was never a time when your life was not now, nor will there ever be.” By saving up our happiness and saying we’ll slow down later, we end up becoming bystanders to our lives. We miss out on the present moment and rob ourselves of being happy right here, right now. 

    In this episode, we discuss our issues with struggling to stay present and share a few tips on how to practice being more present in your daily life.
