• S2E2: Casey Powell v John Grant Jr.
    Sep 28 2022

What's up everyone? On this episode I, Casey Powell, am taking it back to field with my buddy and my rival John Grant Jr.. John and I met at an All American Camp back in the day, went separate ways in college and played against eachother. We both agree, playing together as teammates is better than rivals. While I competed against my brothers, JG was on a mission to outplay his hall of fame lacrosse father! I loved getting into it with my friend JG Jr, and learning about the imprint his father and his hometown left on his game and learning how the lacrosse legacy continues in his daughter and mine! Let's explore the field!

  • S2E1: Casey Powell v. Blaze Riorden
    Sep 16 2022

22 Easy is in Season 2! We are talking about life on and off the field with some of the greats and answering those burning questions. I know there is fun in scoring, but man when you play on a goalie like Blaze Riorden, he's going to make you work for it. The Chaos have a BIG game coming up this weekend, and I, Casey Powell, had an awesome conversation with goalie extraorinaire Blaze Riorden. Who will take home the ship (championship, that is)?

    May 27 2022

"...the harder you play, the stronger the medicine, um, because you know, the energy you put into it, that's, what's being spread. That's what, that's what people are witnessing. "

In this episode I, Casey Powell, speak with Iroquois National Team, NLL, and PLL superstar Lyle Thomspon. As a sport, we agree we want lacrosse to be more accessible and mainstream, but what happens to the history and sacredness of the game? We are talking about priceless, sacred homemade wooden sticks to what we hear coming from the International Olympic Committee (IOC). You will get it all here, 22 Easy.

  • Ep 7: Oh, Canada
    Apr 22 2022
On Episode 7 I, Casey Powell, get to talk to some of my favorite brothers from our northern border. Patrick and Brodie Merrill come from a long line of family athletes. Having talent in multiple sports like baseball and hockey, lacrosse was not on the family radar... until it was. Whether it's on the field or in the box, I know how these guys feel and continue to feel about the great game of lacrosse. Now, Patrick is the GM and coach of the San Diego Seals and Brodie is one of his players. Listen to this episode to hear what the Merrill brothers think about the history of the game and what they think the future has in store for the PLL and NLL.

  • Ep. 6: The Attack Line of My Nightmares
    Apr 3 2022
This week I, Casey Powell, talk to 3 men who are considered the best collegiate attack line in the game of lacrosse. While all coming from different backgrounds, Hubbard, Massey, and Hess were recruited to play for Princeton Tigers, which was definitely a challenge to me on the field while playing for the Orange. From competitors to friends the  boys and I talk about summer camps, our first sticks, and the elite Empire State Games.

    I want to know:

How do you string your stick? What's your favorite Empire Games memory?  Do the Long Island guys still run their mouths?

Powells Picks are getting better each week. How did you do against me?

  • Ep. 5: Mama Says Knock You Out
    Mar 25 2022
In this episode of 22 Easy I, Casey Powell, speak to someone who has been there through it all, and I mean ALL. Susan Powell is the matriarch of the Powell family and continues to be a role model and mentor to my siblings and me. Mom and I talk about what it was like having 3 boys growing up with what she calls "healthy competition" in the backyard and everything else. I mean we all out scored each other at Syracuse University on the lacrosse field..that tells you something! Mom shares stories about being on the road for years with teams and families, and I get a little choked up - even emotional- when my mom tells what she thought the first time she saw me coach my first college lacrosse team. I just can't get enough. My mom doesn't just remember these stories, but she is someone who has kept road journals through the years with tales from on and off the field. I guess it's no surprise that she recently wrote a book, "A Knock At My Heart: A Story of Life, Love, and Lacrosse" This book is an answer to the angels she has knocking on her heart. Thank you for sharing our stories as seen through your eyes. I love you, Mom!

How did you do last week against me in Powell's Picks? I made some picks that may surprise you this week. Did you like meeting Hometown last week? He's back on the podcast and shares where he fuels up on the local cuisine.
