Gods in stories---that is, in movies, books, comics, and beyond---are an often used element of any genre in fiction. Mostly fantasy and scifi. But sometimes I find myself asking, well, if you're all powerful then why is this happening? Today we tackle that topic and a few others when it comes to gods in narrative media.

It's taken a while, but we finally got to it and sat down to chat about The Batman with Robert Pattinson. And a lot about how this movie might have been a huge allegory for what's going on in the US today.

This week on Geek Philosophy we chat about the pros and cons of villains with a purpose---those bad guys with a back story. And we also talk about how sometimes it's perfectly fine to have a bad guy and not know why they're the big bad.

Diddy Kong Racing is a beloved cult classic not talked about as often as some other games released in its time. More often than naught, you will hear about Mario 64 or Final Fantasy 7 when someone mentions best 90s games. And they wouldn't be wrong. But this one is special to a lot of people, not just Rivyn and I. I did a lot of research for this one; to be honest, it's one of my favorite to dig into so far.
