When you start a business, it means you know exactly what to say in order to get people interested in what you do and ready to work with you, right? “If you build it, they will come.”

Whereas that might be true for some people, I don’t think that true for most of us. We usually start a business so that we can share our genius, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that we know how to communicate it. This is where branding and messaging come in.

My guest today has had several businesses with a variety of success until she landed in the marketing field and realized that the words she was using could attract or repel people. Our goal as business owners is to find and share the attractive words, amiright?
