    We continue our interview with Cindy Gibbs from last week's Podcast. Cindy Gibbs has been around the drag racing world literally her whole life. First and foremost a fan, she's been everything from a NHRA staff employee, a drag racing wife (or is that widow), a track operator and now a driving force behind the popular "NITRO REVIVAL" events, held yearly at nearby Irwindale Dragstrip.

    Most know Cindy as the eldest daughter of Steve Gibbs, who's best recognized for his management of California race tracks, including the original Irwindale Raceway and Fremont Raceway, during the mid to late 60's. His subsequent 48 year career at NHRA and development of the successful California and National Hot Rod Reunions are what has earned Mr. Gibbs his "International Drag Racing Hall of Fame" status.

    Luckily, the latest chapter in their lives has brought much enthusiasm for both of them and those who love and appreciate drag racing and its roots. Since 2017, Steve and Cindy have produced six NITRO REVIVAL events, with the seventh addition scheduled for November 8-9, 2024. Both are passionate about NR, which celebrates the rich history of So. Cal drag racing, showcasing the legendary cars and colorful individuals who paved the way for the sport we know today.

    Cindy has always dreamed of one day working side by side with her father and now it's a reality; her passion for the sport and the people involved is evident as soon as you meet her. Take a listen and you'll see why she considers herself an "ambassador" to the spectacular sport of DRAG RACING.

    Nathan began his professional career in the arts at age 12, working as on-air talent for the Children’s Broadcasting Corporation, performing live with Disney, Universal Studios and the Academy of Television and Radio. Nathan continued his career in the performing arts, including work in theatre, music and experience design.

    Nathan graduated with a B.A. in Youth Culture and Modern Music from California Baptist University, and holds a double masters in Entrepreneur Leadership and Theological Studies. He spent 6 years learning from and working with the Mosaic Los Angeles community, serving with the artisans and pastoral team. he then founded and lead Mosaic Pomona in the heart of the downtown arts colony. Nathan currently serves as the lead pastor of Humanity Church, developing communities that speak to the core of human creativity and spirituality.

    Nathan is also a certified transformational trainer & life coach, and is passionate about seeing others experience freedom by realigning vision with commitment, discovering their uniqueness, and living out the dreams that are placed within their soul. Nathan strives to create spaces where communities become an intentional force of beauty – seeing their lives as the most powerful medium to shape the future of humanity.

She is a student athlete at Sierra Canyon School and a junior who plays soccer, runs cross country and track and field. Sierra Canyon School is one of the most elite high schools in the country. Parents are Janine and Mike Gonzaga. Janine is an office manager at a business management and tax firm. Mike is the associate head football coach at Sierra Canyon School. Ranked in the top 5 in the state of California and top 25 in the country.

    Jacelyn has been racing for the last 9 years. Many wins, championships and many loses too. In this sport, you will lose more than you win but it has taught her team work, positive relentlessness and humility. Her goal is to drive a top fuel car for John Force or Tony Stewart. While doing that, she wants to keep racing Super Comp.
