  • Our guest today is Simon Holliday, co-founder of Splash, a non-profit providing learn-to-swim and water safety courses for adults and kids from under-served communities.

    Starting out in just one pool, Splash has grown massively over the last 10 years, raising hundreds of thousands of pounds and building a network of diverse partners to help it provide swimming programmes to over 7,000 people.

    In today’s episode you’ll learn how Splash came to be founded, and why it sees swimming as such a powerful vehicle for improving not just physical, but also mental and social wellbeing amongst the migrant communities of Hong Kong and Singapore.

    Scott started by asking Simon if he had a sense of what Splash is looking to get out of its upcoming Big Bloom hackathon for good.
