• Summary

  • A podcast about what you do all day. The average person will work 90,000 hours in their lifetime. We devote the greater part of every day to a profession, and yet, often those closest to us struggle to verbalize what it is we actually do all day. (If you don't believe me, text your mom and ask her what you do.) So that's it. 90,000 hours, and we’re here to unpack about 10 of them. Every week, we’ll chat to one person to pull back the curtain on their very own 9 to 5 with rapid-fire questions, a look into their daily routine, and even some on-the-fly poetry. And every season we’ll explore one theme across industries, building on the conversation as we go.

This week’s episode is brought to you by all the cynical thoughts Haley Hoover had about parenting being hard prior to actually becoming a parent. Haley sits down with Jenna Cook, whose current role is fully dedicated to caring for her son. She’s a “SAHM” (Stay At Home Mom for all you newbies out there) and she’s here to give us the real real about how her day rolls out. We talk about the learning curve of parenting, postpartum depression, and how she’s finding balance with a baby one year in. Jenna mentioned organizations that support single parents and we wanted to share them here: https://help.rescue.org/donate/syria-crisis https://singlemomsplanet.org/ Questions? Feedback? Thoughts?
