A Deeper Look

By: Julia Rae
  • Summary

  • I’m Julia Rae and this is A Deeper Look.

On the surface I’m a singer, actor, and patient advocate. Underneath I have faced a struggle or two, including setbacks from facing a serious chronic illness, and my villain edit on reality tv, and through it all I wished people would take a deeper look at me.

Join me as I gain insight from my guests who’ve inspired me with their grit and determination as they faced their own challenges.

I believe the most important stories are the ones deep within us — the stories that make us feel alone, yet connect us when we’re brave enough to tell them. Those are the stories I can’t wait to share. I hope you’ll come with me as I take “A Deeper Look.”

Feels like a chat with the girls

I work remotely and one of the things I miss is the human connection that I used to get from being in person. It is easy to get the “I’m on an island by myself” feeling. A Deeper Look feels like a chat over drinks with the girls. It’s just the little connection that I need when I’m just typing away on a keyboard in a quiet empty house. Time to go make a real drinks with the girls date. :)
