  • Welcome to Pedagogy NEXT, a podcast about excellence in teaching in higher education. The podcast series showcases and celebrates teaching stories and insights. For our inaugural podcast, today we are talking to Dr. Ken Roemer, Emeritus Fellow in the Department of English, member of the UT System Academy of Distinguished Teachers, Piper Professor, and member of both the UTA Academy of Distinguished Teachers and UTA Academy of Distinguished Scholars. The overarching theme of the show is his legacy from teaching at UT Arlington for 48 years. Dr. Roemer shared with us, not only his experiences teaching but his views on how being active in the development of a secondary-level Native American-focused ethnic studies course has become also part of his teaching repertoire.
