  • All-Star Race: Ricky Stenhouse & Kyle Busch Steal The Show
    May 20 2024
In this episode, Denny Hamlin and co-host Jared Allen delve into Joey Logano's standout performance and the tire strategies used in the All-Star race. They debate whether NASCAR should adopt the soft compound tire for future races and discuss the potential of North Wilkesboro Speedway hosting a points race, considering the success of its repave (31:00). Denny shares a surprising issue with the track that has more to do with beer sales than racing. The episode heats up with a breakdown of the post-race altercation between Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch (38:30). Denny reacts to the incident, analyzing what triggered the fight and if either driver was at fault for the initial wreck. He also dissects the failed conversation between Ricky and Kyle that led to punches being thrown and shares his own strategy if he were to fight another driver. Off the track, NASCAR's announcement of an in-season bracket challenge for next year sparks further discussion (1:03:00). The team also examines the uncertain future of Stewart-Haas Racing (1:10:00). Plus, in #DearDenny, Denny answers questions about the grueling physical demands of racing the Coca-Cola 600 (1:12:50). • Kansas: Monday Morning Quarterbacking The Best Race Ever
    May 6 2024
Denny Hamlin and Jared Allen are back from a historic race at Kansas. Denny had an upfront view of the closest finish ever as Kyle Larson beat Chris Buescher by .001 seconds. Sunday's race had the perfect amount of tire falloff to make the race interesting. Is there anything different Buescher could have done to hold off Larson? Timing and scoring is not the same as the official finish line. Does NASCAR need better cameras, and why isn’t the finish line not straight? Denny had an eventful day on pit road. Could Denny have made it on fuel if the race stayed green? Or was Martin Truex Jr. going to pass him? Denny explains why he took the inside lane on the restart. Kansas might be the perfect track for the Next Gen car. Noah Gragson scored an impressive top-10 finish. Plus, is this the final year of throwback paint schemes at Darlington? Jared Talk into the mike!!

Like 90% of race fans I was not a Denny Hamlin fan, but I've come to appreciate his candor and knowledge of what is happening on and off track. BUT please Jared talk into the mike and clearly so I don't have to turn my volume to 100 just to try to hear what you said then get blasted by Denny when he replies. thank you
