  • The last words of Jesus before He ascended were to His followers,  to wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father. They were told to wait until they are clothed with power from on High. This power came as Holy Spirit was poured out on all those in the upper room, and later on those three thousand that were added to them as Peter boldly  preached the gospel. If you are serious about receiving the “gift of the Holy Spirit”, or the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, or the immersion in the Holy Spirit, I recommend the book “the Holy Spirit and You”, by Dennis and Rita Bennett.
