  • A man wanted to marry me, but my parents rejected him because he was from the north. A friend then introduced me to someone else. When he came to visit, I told him that if he wasn’t genuinely interested, he shouldn’t be intimate with me. He reassured me of his interest, and we had sex. Afterward, I tried to contact him, but he never responded. Later, my parents told the northerner they had previously rejected that they were only testing his patience and now were willing for him to marry me.
