I just got a new job. Isn't it too early to think about vacation?

No way! Well-planned vacations can play a vital role in effective rhythms of rest. This week, we're joined by R. York Moore, CEO of the Coalition for Christian Outreach and TikTok evangelist with nearly 700k followers. And York's going to help us reimagine the way we think about vacation and the role it plays in healthy post-graduation rhythms.

Do more than just get away on your next vacation. Get some rest!

  • E124: Finding Rest in Recreation
    Jun 18 2024

Are there opportunities for rest beyond a weekly sabbath?

Yes! Day-to-day recreation is a very realistic option for experiencing rest between sabbaths. What are the activities that leave you feeling restored and that fit (or could fit with a little help) into your daily schedule? Those activities just might be the answer to a healthy source of rest throughout your week.

Our episode this week explores the idea of rest through recreation with Stacy Jackson, the Director of Healthy Living at Jon's local YMCA.

  • E122: A Foundation for Healthy Rhythms of Rest
    Jun 4 2024

How important is rest after graduation?

After graduation, getting a strong start at work is oftentimes our biggest priority. Work is good. But what about getting a strong start to rest? For the next five weeks, we're going to explore ways to start incorporating healthy rhythms of rest in this post-graduation season of life.

To start things off, we're chatting with Alan Fadling, spiritual director, speaker, and author of multiple IVP titles including An Unhurried Life: Following Jesus' Rhythms of Work and Rest, and A Non-Anxious Life: Experiencing the Peace of God's Presence. Alan is going to help us understand a biblical basis for rest and why now is the right time to start to developing these essential rhythms.
