  • Summary

  • AnnMarie is a Colorado native but grew up in a small town in Kansas. She moved back shortly after college and has been in Fort Collins for 15 years working for the City to put on Bike to Work Day and Open Streets.

Her first memory of her love for running was in elementary school. Tag was her sport of choice and the longer the game went on, the better.

She ran track in junior high after an unsuccessful attempt at shotput. Her favorite races in high school were the 800, mile and 2 mile. AnnMarie broke school records throughout the course of her high school years.

After high school, AnnMarie didn’t get back into serious running until over a decade later after having her two boys, now 12 and 10. After many stroller miles she started running local races and quickly became hooked, primarily tempted by the marathon.

Her PR’s are 1:14:30 in the half marathon which she ran in Houston, and 2:37 from California International Marathon.

The people she has met through running far outweigh any personal accomplishments she has achieved. Because of this, when Front Range Elite was formed, she was all in and has never looked back on the mission to further contribute to her favorite sport- a super super long game of tag.
