  • S1E1 Welcome to the Table
    Sep 29 2020
In our first episode, we talk about how this podcast came to be, our friendship, and what being at the table means to us.

“I think of the table as a place like that… that is not complete until each of us are present. If I feel that bit of joy whenever I’m gathered together with people I love, that is just a small taste of the joy that is present when the Lord invites us to His table.” (Joanna)

  • S1E6 A Kopi-C(hrist), Please!
    Nov 3 2020
In this episode, we talk about 5 Cs: Coffee in the time of Covid, and Christ in the Centre of our Community! Too often, we get lost in the daily grind... and then try desperately to self-medicate with methods that just weren’t made to heal. Even our favourite Kopi-C doesn’t cut it! We talk about allowing Jesus to be enough for us in this achievement-oriented world, and leaving our comfort zones to follow him.

“Sometimes we do need to take some time away from everything and not get too consumed. Living in the world and then out of it... And to also recall that Jesus is the greatest physician out there, sometimes we need a different kind of healing, that kind of healing that antibiotics cannot bring about.” (Nicole)

  • S1E7 Mess into Masterpiece: Beauty as the Beloved
    Nov 10 2020
The world taunts us with imitations of true beauty but we can celebrate and rest in our uniqueness knowing that the One who formed beauty in the very beginning said that [we] are good. Join us as we contemplate together the original meaning of true beauty and how God invites us to illuminate this beauty into the world.

“We do not merely want to see beauty... we want something else which can hardly be put into words—to be united with the beauty we see, to pass into it, to receive it into ourselves, to bathe in it, to become part of it.” CS Lewis

  • S1E8 Prayer: Mythbusters
    Nov 17 2020
Is there only one fixed way of praying? Do we have to be ‘super holy’ to pray? Is prayer just a monologue, or does God actually speak to me, too? Join us as we unpack these questions and share our personal experiences with prayer!

“I’ve learnt different ways to grow closer to Jesus, and how to have that communication with Him… Prayer is communication, just to go to Jesus as we are and to speak to Him in different ways.” (Beatrice)
