  • Barbie was one of the biggest movies of 2023 which unexpectedly brought light to many issues relevant in today’s world. When we think of Barbie we think of a flawless doll with the perfect hair and the perfect outfit, but this movie delved way deeper.

    Another one of Greta Grewig’s masterpiece, the movie portrayed Barbie as kind, passionate, soulful, fun, creative and much more. It highlighted the insecurities of not only being a woman in this world, but a human being. 

    Pink revolution as we call it, from our emotions to production everything was colored with a layer of hope to celebrate being ordinary, to celebrate being a human with flaws and struggles. 

    While this movie was a favorite of many, it also received its own criticism, be it be for screenplay or marketing. Barbie was a controversy in itself, something which we thoroughly discuss in this episode.
