This podcast is designed to operate as an easily accessible bank of knowledge for you as you jet from here to there and everywhere in between. You have your accommodations booked and your activities planned, but when you arrive at a new destination, do you ever feel like you should have done a bit more research?

How many languages are spoken here, again? What kind of geography should I expect during excursions? How long ago was this place founded? What form of government does this country have? Is it considered rude to wear this or to say that?

The plan here is to cover the basics - the essential information pertaining to a location you might have forgotten to look up, but you really shouldn't plan on visiting without knowing. As travel becomes more accessible, the necessity for a respectful and informed traveller becomes almost urgent. Before You Jet will endeavour to provide you with a greater foundation of knowledge and a lens of understanding through which to view your surroundings. It is my belief that when you step off the plane already in the know, your footprint as a traveller will be easier to minimize and your exploration has the potential to be that much more meaningful and impactful.
