Episode Eight - In real life, you can’t force love

TRIGGER WARNING // sexual abuse, drug use

Due to technical difficulties we’ve had an unwanted break, but we’re back and better (longer) than ever! In this episode we talk about when we went to the Berlin Music video awards and what we thought about the events and the acts.

We also have a special guest; Nikolai from the band Blassfuchs! He talks about the bands choice to make a powerful video for the song Dunkelziffer and their thoughts behind it all. We also hear about their upcoming music video projects for their EP Zwischen Rausch und Gift (ZRUG). We also get into the bad sex-ed in schools… tune in! #ZRUG #Blassfuchs #Dunkelziffer

We do apologise for the low sound when Raven speaks, she’ll make sure to really raise her voice in the next episode!!

    Mar 2 2018

We talk to Kyo from Japan about dancing (poppin), cultural differences in service, language and why we only like some Berlin clubs in the summer. Is FlughafenTempelhof the ultimate spot for chill-times? We think: JAEIN.

  • Episode Five - Horrendous living situation and great tunes
    Feb 23 2018

Our guest this week is Ben Wuyts from England! We are very excited to have him on the show: We met him for the first time when he was playing his music at Hackescher Markt five years ago. In this episode we talk about how that's like and about living in basically every district of Berlin, weird and horrendous situations and about Ostbahnhof at 2 O'clock in the afternoon on a Sunday. And of course about music, listen and find out who Ben would choose to tour with if he could pick anyone in the world!

The music in this episode is:

    Ghosts - Ben Wuyts

On our Way - Ben Wuyts

For more of his tunes go to soundcloud, youtube or hit him up at one of his gigs and buy a CD. He's got a new EP coming your way soon! You don't want to miss out!

    Stay excited!!

  • Episode Four - Geschlechtsverkehr and balls
    Feb 16 2018

The fourth episode is here! Our guest from Russia had to cancel again, so we'll have him on the show some time in the future instead. Third time is a charm, right?

In episode four we drink some sparkling wine and talk with our friend Andres from Uruguay about throwing bull testicles into the fire place (apparently that's the best part of the meat!), misunderstanding what the word "Geschlechtsverkehr" means in German and about living in a WG with eight other people. We hope you enjoy!

Stay tuned and happy weekend! ;)

    Feb 5 2018

Better late than never? Definitely! But no Russia? Wait, what? Mikhail couldn't join us this week but instead we'll talk about being late (since this episode is!). Raven reveals her one and only pregnancy scare, Hanna tells us why she doesn't like the change to winter/summer time, and someone missed a plane because of a possible bomb...

    Hope you enjoy!

  • Episode Two - Land of a thousand lakes
    Jan 26 2018

In episode two we talk about the land of a thousand lakes, Finland. Our lovely Johanna Ryynänen is here talking about first impressions of Berlin, what she liked the first time she came here and how it's different from Finland. It's about dancing professionally and at clubs with so called "cuddle rooms", and the many Finnish words for snow. You don't want to miss out!

  • Episode One - Zwar, cats and coffee at the Waschsalon
    Jan 19 2018
The first episode is here! Finally! In this episode you get to know us: Hanna and Raven. Why did we come to Berlin? When can you call yourself a Berliner even though you weren't born here? We'll talk about cozy coffee places (where they have cats!), our favorite German words and about those forests in a country not so far away that we miss so much. Raven even takes us on a stroll down memory lane to when Hanna went 5 stations with the U-Bahn every time she had to do laundry. Special shoutout to Don Shine and Caitlin Hardee for helping us create this podcast!
