  • Black Girl Charmed Recaps: Black As Cole
    Oct 9 2024

Trigger Warning: This episode includes discussions about infant death.

In this week's episode of Black Girl Charmed, Nelle and Rae break down the Charmed episode, "Black As Cole," aka "Girl Is You Dumb?" The two aren't sure who deserves the title more—Phoebe, for her shock over Cole's desire for marriage, or Paige, who's suddenly channeling her inner Karen. Meanwhile, Piper writes Paige a check for that dang doll, leaving them annoyed.

The girls get sucked into TikTok's The Queen of Afternoon Tea and gush over their latest book picks. Nelle is all in on her Y Choose series and Dead Girls Club, while Rae kicks off Christina Lauren's Improbable Meet Series. Rae stumbles upon The Rewatchables podcast while Nelle pleads with her to finally catch up on Reasonable Doubt.

To top it all off, the girls agree—Leo is absolutely adorable in this episode.

WHAT I NEEDED

I LOVED it. Who knew there were so many of us out there obsessed with Charmed? Nobody I knew in HS even liked it but we definitely outchea and a lot more of us are black/POC than I realized. The hosts were hilarious I’m so happy I found this podcast. I felt like I was a part of the conversation too. I hope y’all take it all they way to the end season!
