Alex Kozora of Steelers Depot joined the show to discuss what Russell Wilson’s calf injury means for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Justin Fields.

Wilson has yet to be a full participant in training camp practice. The Steelers are scheduled to have their first padded practice on Tuesday.

Both Kozora and Bergin still expect Wilson to be the Steelers’ Week 1 starter.

Kozora also explained why he believes Pat Freiermuth will get a contract extension before the start of the 2024 season. He explained what he’s seen from standout players through the first four day days of training camp, including DeMarvin Leal, Kyron Johnson, Donte Jackson, Patrick Queen and Payton Wilson.

The Pittsburgh Steelers begin training camp this week with on-field practices starting Thursday.

"Bleav in Steelers" hosts Ike Taylor and Mark Bergin discussed whether the NFL should implement two bye weeks in the future.

They also discussed the training camp battle between quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.

Taylor, who is attending training camp, explained his roles and responsibilities as a scout for the Steelers.

Taylor also paid homage to Jacoby Jones, who died at the age of 40. Taylor and Jones attended Marion Abramson High School in New Orleans. The two also competed against each other in the NFL.

Taylor also shared what it was like to be part of the filming of "Dark Knight Rises," which came out in July 2012. However, he was not in the movie.

Last, Bergin shares what it was like visiting the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Joey Christopoulos of Sports Talk Chicago joins the show to discuss the top storylines for the Pittsburgh Steelers going into the 2024 season.

It includes improving their red-zone efficiency, the quarterback battle between Russell Wilson and Justin Fields and which player will be the team's second-best receiver behind George Pickens.

The guys also talk about how the Steelers will try to win their first playoff game since January 2017. It includes a discussion about Mike Tomlin's role in getting the team back into playoff contention.

"Bleav in Steelers" host Mark Bergin discusses the possibility of the Pittsburgh Steelers trading for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.

Aiyuk is entering the final year of his contract with the 49ers. He also said on "The Pivot Podcast" he could see himself in a Steelers or Washington Commanders uniform.

The most likely scenario is Aiyuk returns to the 49ers.

Bergin explains why he wouldn't trade higher than a third-round pick for Aiyuk.

Legendary Pittsburgh Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau joins the "Bleav in Steelers" show to discuss his new book "Legendary."

The book is due out on July 9. LeBeau's book focuses on what made the Pittsburgh Steelers' 2008 defense legendary.

"Bleav in Steelers" co-host Ike Taylor played 11 of his 12 NFL seasons with LeBeau, who was the Steelers' defensive coordinator from 2004-2014.

LeBeau discussed his career, 14 years as a Hall of Fame cornerback and 45 years as a legendary coach. He discussed how he used his knowledge as a player to coach.

Taylor and LeBeau shared their Steelers memories. It includes winning Super Bowl XL and Super Bowl XLIII. He also shared what it was like coaching Taylor.

LeBeau also shared what made the fire-zone blitz defensive scheme so effective.

Taylor explains why the Steelers players had so much respect for LeBeau.

"Bleav in Steelers" co-host Mark Bergin asks LeBeau whether he tried to get Taylor or Troy Polamalu to play for him at the end of their careers. LeBeau finished his coaching career as a defensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans.

Sanders discussed living "in the country" in Texas, and what he did for Father's Day.

The guys also ask "Prime Time" how he was able to play in the NFL and MLB at the same time. They ask why there aren't more two-sport athletes.

The interview took place before Sanders accepted the Jackson State or Colorado head coaching positions.

Sanders discussed what it was like coaching his son, Shedeur Sanders, at the high school level. He also shared how Shedeur Sanders scheduled a morning workout with Tom Brady.

Sanders also shared how his son drained his family lake, his memories from the 1989 NFL Combine and what it was like playing against Jerry Rice.

"Bleav in Steelers" host Mark Bergin discusses the Pittsburgh Steelers giving head coach Mike Tomlin a contract extension.

Tomlin, 52, is now under contract through the 2027 season. He is entering his 18th season with the Steelers and has yet to have a losing season.

Bergin explains how Tomlin has been among the NFL's best head coaches despite the Steelers' last playoff win in January 2017.

Bergin compares Tomlin to Steelers legend Chuck Noll and to former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

Bergin also wonders whether the Steelers will end their five-game playoff losing streak and whether this is the last contract extension Tomlin signs with the Steelers.
