  • Ep. 025 Write Useful Nonfiction Books with Rob Fitzpatrick
    Sep 5 2022

When you write, write for your audience. Put your book out there before even publishing it. Rob Fitzpatrick and I had a wonderful deep dive conversation about his book called Write Useful Books as well as the Workshop Survival Guide. He explains his process of writing as a product. In order to write (build) a lasting product, it needs to go through several iterations. He is currently making over $25k per month just on a few of the books he has published and in this video, he explains his process so you can too.

That's why I loved chatting with Rob about his books and his processes as a writer. He makes the process seem doable because he has broken it down into easily processed chunks. I highly recommend watching this video and checking out his books.

  • Ep. 024 Julie Lythcott Haims Your Turn - How to be an Adult
    Aug 21 2022

Have you ever felt immature, much younger than your current age? We all have at one point in our lives. Luckily, Julie Lythcott-Haims wrote her book, Your Turn - How to Be An Adult for this very reason. Many adults feel that they don't have the necessary skills to survive in the adult world. Your Turn answers most of the questions you may or may not have thought about.

She gives us her heart by opening herself up through the book with practical lessons she has learned through research, her experience, and the experiences of a wide variety of people from virtually every background you can think of. I give great pleasure to have interviewed Julie about her book and have learned many more lessons from filming this interview.

Please help to support Julie and yourself by picking up a copy of her book.

Also, help to support the BookMattic channel by subscribing.

I hope you are all doing well and getting enough reading time in amongst all the other things you may have going on in your life.

    Take care!

  • Ep. 023 Mark W Schaefer - Marketing Rebellion and Cumulative Advantage
    Jul 31 2022

Mark W Schaefer is a master at marketing and human connection. The two go hand-in-hand. Marketing is nothing without human connection and he drives this point hard in most of his books. The first book of his that I read and discussed with him is Cumulative Advantage and the second one was Marketing Rebellion.

Mark truly has a way of writing to a specific audience so it feels like he is writing directly to you. He is a believer in not writing fluff. He gets to the point which is sure to pack a punch. Each of his books solves a problem and provides stories and examples to help clarify them.

I highly recommend picking up his books:
