  • Hellen Baleke began to box to get revenge, but she soon fell in love with the sport and became the first Ugandan woman to win a medal in an international boxing competition. In the first episode of this second season of Women in Sport, we talk to her about her journey and how she has inspired other women to learn self-defense. We also hear from Dr. Schneider, a researcher at the University of the South, Sewanee, who has done fieldwork and research about female boxers in the Global South.
