    Jun 14 2024

Episode 40! Broadgate's Connor Nurse caught up with seasoned risk expert Christain Mittelberg for this episode of the Risky Business miniseries – stay tuned to hear Christian's insights into the world of operational resilience and risk management in a fast-moving world.

Christian Mittelberg is an internationally experienced Risk Management & Compliance Executive with significant experience in the financial industry. His critical but pragmatic risk thinking and guidance have changed how several multinational financial services and data organizations view risk management as a competitive advantage instead of a burden.

In his most recent role, Christian was chosen to rebuild and transform the corporate risk management functions at S&P Global. He designed a pro-active risk function covering the organization’s most critical risks of Enterprise Risk, Cyber & Technology Risk, Third Party Risk and Operational Resilience.

Prior to S&P Global, Christian had leadership responsibility in Risk Management at Deutsche Bank, Fidelity Investments and KCG Holdings in the US and Europe. During his tenure at KCG Holdings, a high-frequency trading firm, he served as the Chief Risk Officer for the US broker-dealer covering not only non-financial risks but also financial risks associated with the broker-dealer (market, liquidity risk).
