• Jesus was born of the Holy Ghost, and when we are born again we are born of the Spirit of God and are children of God, like Jesus
    Feb 20 2026
(This podcast was previously published on April 13, 2021) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. After we are born again by the Word of God from the Holy Spirit of God, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit lives in us and teaches and guides us, showing us the will of God. I Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? Like Jesus, God is our Father after we are born of HIS Spirit, and God lives in us by HIS Spirit. Matthew l:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. God is also "with us" for by HIS Spirit, Jesus dwells in us after we are born again by the Holy Spirit. John 5:30 Jesus says: I can of MINE own self do nothing: as I hear (from God), I judge: and MY judgment is just; because I seek not MINE own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent ME. The Holy Spirit will bring to our minds a scripture or a concept to show us the will of God for us as we live on this earth, and we believe that Word and know it shows us God's will and we take action appropriate to that word which is given us by God. I find this to be very comforting to know it is God's will for me to do such and such. For example: In 2020, I was considering putting new upholstery on my 25-year-old car. As I thought about this, the following from the Spirit of God came to my mind: "Or you could just buy a new car." I began thinking on that word and I reasoned: "I could buy a new car. I had just sold my house in Texas and the money was in my bank account and I had plenty of money to buy a new car." That same night, God gave me a dream: I bought a new car. That is what I did the following day. I knew it was authored by God to do that and it was approved by God. God knows the future. I was sure God was showing me the best way for me to go in this matter. Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? (says God) Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. God leads us by thoughts brought to our mind by HIS Spirit and also by dreams which HE gives us. ***** John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come. *** I Corinthians 2 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. When I was born again in 1975, God showed me the above scriptures and taught me to follow HIM by HIS Spirit. Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. But many church goers are unbelievers and do not have faith in the Word of God and they do not have God's Spirit and cannot enter into HIS rest because of their unbelief. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • Stir up the gift of God which is in you
    Feb 19 2026
(This podcast was previously published on April 10, 2021) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... II Timothy 1:6 (Paul says to Timothy) 6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9 WHO hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to HIS own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, WHO hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: 11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know WHOM I have believed, and am persuaded that HE is able to keep that which I have committed unto HIM against that day. 13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us. We keep ourselves by the Holy Spirit as we hear what HE says and follow HIM, doing those things appropriate to HIS Word. *** The apostle Peter says: II Peter 3 1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: *** So how do we stir up our pure minds? We remember the way God caused us to be born again. We remember the scriptures God has called to our minds during the past years. We remember the dreams God has given to us. We remember some of those previous things God has had us to do. As we think on these things, we stir up the gifts of God that are in us. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • Be not deceived. Evil communications corrupt good manners. (I Cor. 15:33)
    Feb 18 2026
(This podcast was previously published on April 9, 2021) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... I Corinthians 15:33-34 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I'm very careful to review ways of God after I hear a person speak contrary to the Bible. Often on TV concepts are presented that are opposite to the ways of God. And when we visit with people, they often say things which we know to be in variance to the Word of God. What I try to do is this: Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, Contrary words can go into our hearts and end up leading us in another way unless we uproot that which the world speaks by reviewing that which the Bible says. Their words eat as doth a canker (cancer) ... Later we will find ourselves speaking things that shock us unless we uproot the words spoken by the world. Jesus says: Matthew 12 33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. 34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • Draw nigh to God, and HE will draw nigh to you. (James 4:8)
    Feb 17 2026
(This podcast was previously published on April 6, 2021) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Sometimes we will be on fire for spiritual things. And sometimes we will feel dead. When we seem to have no spark, no life, start praying and thank God for that which you do have. And then start reading Bible and focus on any scripture that stands out to you as you read. God has a special message for you that day in that scripture. God will not leave us nor forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5) Also when you feel a little dead, just start thanking God for specific blessings HE has given you in your life, and you will begin again to feel HIS blood rush through you. Often HE will remind you of a scripture. Look at that scripture, for it is God speaking to you by HIS Spirit who reminds you of that scripture. When you are troubled about anything, stop reading the Bible and start praying. Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. After you have settled the problem with God, and have the peace of God again, then read the Bible. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • Receiving an hundredfold return now in this life
    Feb 16 2026
(This podcast was previously published on April 4, 2021) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Concerning an hundredfold return: Mark 10:28-30 Then Peter began to say unto HIM, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. 29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for MY sake, and the gospel's, 30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. When we follow the call of Jesus and speak the word of God we risk everything. People may leave us. Our reputations among other humans often diminishes. They no longer want to be around us. We might even end up losing everything we have. But Jesus says we will receive 100-fold return now in this present life. In 1982, God said to me: "The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God." I was very popular on radio at that time as I exhorted the church. God began showing me sins that were being committed by several big-time radio/TV preachers. When I delivered those messages, I became very unpopular on radio and several stations put me off the air and offerings decreased by about 2/3rds. Church friends left me. It was very sad for me for about 10-years. Then God began raising me up again. The increase began with a blog in 2012. Then books on Amazon in 2015. Then Podcasts in 2020. 100-fold return now in this lifetime. Paul lost all when he followed Jesus: Philippians 3:5-11 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in HIM, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know HIM, and the power of HIS resurrection, and the fellowship of HIS sufferings, being made conformable unto HIS death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • Shun profane (secular) and vain babblings
    Feb 15 2026
(This podcast was previously published on April 11, 2021) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... A woman used to visit with me and speak all manner of secular things which were not in the Bible. After she spoke, I would explain to her: "What you just said is not in the Bible. I want to build my house on the word of God." Then she would grow very silent for awhile. Later she would visit me again, and again speak another worldly saying, a vain babbling. And again, I would tell her what she just said to me is not in the Bible and the Bible is true and what I want to build on. Philippians 2:13-16 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of HIS good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; I didn't have to argue or dispute. I just told her what she said was not in the Bible and that I wanted to build my thinking on that which is in the Bible. II Timothy 2:16-17 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker: When we speak the word of God, we present the antidote to the poisonous sayings of this world. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • Receive with meekness the engrafted Word which is able to save your souls. (James 1:21)
    Feb 14 2026
(This podcast was previously published on April 7, 2021) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... God calls HIS Word to our mind by HIS Spirit. We must learn to stop and focus on "that" word when this happens. Or if we are reading Bible and a scripture stands out to us as we are reading, stop and focus on "that" scripture for there is a special message from God to us in that verse and it will fill a hole in our heart at that exact moment if only we will stop and focus on that scripture. James 1: 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of HIS own will begat HE us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of HIS creatures. 19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Consider this: What was the last scripture brought to your attention by the Holy Spirit? Look at that scripture for it is a special message from God to you and it will fill a need in your heart at this point in time. Learn to collect these scriptures and look through these scriptures throughout the day. They will strengthen you and help you to keep faith in God in the midst of darkness of this present world. Here is a scripture which delights me and excites me and encourages me to speak things of God. Philippians 2:15-16 Paul says: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; When I am with someone, and God reminds me of a scripture, I try to have courage to share that scripture or that concept for that is what that person needs at that exact moment. I don't plan ahead what I will say. I often pray asking God to have me to speak only that which HE wants spoken when I am with another person. Then when I am reminded of that scripture or concept, I speak. Then I know that is God doing the work, and not me. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • Delight yourself in the Lord and HE will give you the desires of your heart (Psa. 37:4)
    Feb 13 2026
(This podcast was previously published on April 3, 2021) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... As we love the Word of God and do the Word of God we will find that God often plants HIS own desire into our hearts, giving us the desires of our heart. Psalm 37 1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. 3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4 Delight thyself also in the LORD (in the Word); and HE shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in HIM; and HE shall bring it to pass. 6 And HE shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. 7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. When we see those who do evil, know that God will judge that evil doer ... and God will judge us too! Know, in hope, that judgment will come from God and when that is the case it will be just. Therefore keep your trust centered in God. And don't allow yourself to be swept away with the iniquity. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog
