Scott Martin's journey began in 1993 when he was a successful head women's soccer coach at the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. He fell ill, and fell into a coma for a month, only to awaken to the reality that he would need to adapt to a new way of living without his hands.

The journey to recovery was not a straightforward path.
