  • What should you call yourself when you start freelancing?
    Apr 8 2022

    Hello everyone,

Titles can be a bit of a pain for freelancers just starting out. It kind of doesn't matter what your title is as long as it's not confusing and paints a clear picture of what you do.

  • How to balance work and freelancing
    Jan 12 2022

    Hello everyone,

Today I’m talking about balancing work and freelancing. It’s really not much to it. You just have to make sure you have the time available to freelance, the commitment, and be able to keep it to yourself.

So many people get outed for being a freelancer at their jobs and it can go sideways sometimes. Remember, you don’t have to share everything with your co-workers. It’s best to keep some things private.

  • When to call it quits as a freelancer
    Dec 7 2021

    Hey everybody,

Today I go over walking away from freelancing or owning a small business. Sometimes it’s in our best interest to walk away and focus on other things. This could mean getting a job to support yourself, sharpening up your skills, or getting better at running a business.

  • Your 9-5 job isn’t working out. Your personality might be the issue.
    Nov 29 2021

    Hello everyone,

Today I Grover why some of us have issues at our 9-5 jobs. Most of the time, it comes from our personalities not being aligned with what a 9-5 job offers.

Some of us are just built different and are more attracted to a freelancing lifestyle. I go over why that is.

  • Be careful about what courses you take if you’re a freelancer
    Nov 26 2021

    Hello everyone,

Courses are an important part of learning a skill but be careful. A lot of course sellers sell on emotion instead of how useful their courses are.

Learning a skill takes time and a lot of patience. Getting to the point where you can apply that skill to projects also takes time.

Keep your upfront cost low when learning a skill and you’ll be fine. Being a freelancer requires a lot of upkeep in the beginning before you get established.

  • Building a social media presence as a freelancer
    Nov 23 2021

    Hey everybody,

Today I rant about building your social media presence as a freelancer.

Don’t get too personal. Choose a platform you like. If you’re a ghost writer, don’t bother. If you have an e-commerce store, do bother.

Somewhere in between? Keep it professional and don’t worry about clout.

It’s a lot of simple stuff that people mess up.

  • Don’t feel guilty taking time off as a freelancer
    Nov 20 2021

    Hey everyone,

Today I’m talking about how it feels to take time off as a freelancer. The best part about being a freelancer is deciding when and how to work (it’s usually a bit more than having a job).

Sometimes you can feel a bit guilty about taking time off and that’s okay. What’s not okay is looking to things like hustle and grind culture to fix it.
