EP 16: The Last Days of October on EFLU Campus

This writing emerged from a sense of deep solitude towards the end of October. It largely narrates my personal experiences while living on the EFLU campus during this time. It tries to capture a few sights and sounds of our campus. Writing this was a cathartic experience for me. The "you" mentioned in this write-up is no one but me. The writing is reflective and melancholic.

This poetry is based on a fictional talk with Moon while an event was going on in my last Hostel during my bachelor's. The narration in the poetry talks about my loneliness at the same time as the moon and when I was on the terrace. In this poetry, I am talking more about the isolation of the moon in the vacant sky and his lost love story.

In a mundane Tuesday morning encounter, an introspective individual crosses paths with an enigmatic, joyous stranger. Amidst scorching sunlight, the stranger's unbridled happiness echoes through song and demeanour. Curiosity leads to a chance interaction where wisdom is shared: "You don't need a reason to be happy." A brief but impactful encounter leaves the protagonist pondering the depths of unexplained joy as the stranger disappears, leaving a lingering sense of wonder behind.
