    Jul 13 2024
*** Content warnings: Child abuse, child victims, sexual assault ***
In the late 1970s, young girls along the Andes mountain range in Ecuador began to disappear. By 1980, the number of missing girls had reached national crisis proportions. Police feared the girls had been abducted by international child traffickers and sold into domestic and sexual slavery. That was until a vigilant market vendor spotted something out of the ordinary.

    Jul 6 2024
In October of 2011, an advertisement was posted on the website Craigslist. It read: Wanted: Caretaker For Farm. Simply watch over a 688 acre patch of hilly farmland and feed a few cows. You get 300 a week and a nice 2 bedroom trailer. Someone older and single preferred but will consider all. Relocation a must. You must have a clean record and be trustworthy—this is a permanent position.

My go to podcast

Informative and clear, and the anon narrator has such a calm soothing voice. Always very respectful about the cases and subject matter. Great to have on while working or while trying to get to sleep.

One of the best

One of the best true crime podcasts out there. Straightforward, single narrator with a great radio voice. Appropriate tone, music and attitude for the content.

Unadulterated True Crime Stories

The narrator and his crew do a phenomenal job at giving facts as they have been discovered not inserting their own views or opinions in the stories. My favorite True Crime podcast, I am now re-listening to older episodes, as I wait for new ones.

Casefile is one the best true crime pods.

Casefile presents cases in a very thorough and neutral manner. The narrator, at first, might seem robotic to some but after listening to a few episodes, the style makes a lot of sense & I appreciate it. There's no chit-chat, no bad audio, no "uhhhhs", "ums" or coughs. There's no moralizing commentary and no glamorizing of the crime. I really appreciate how Casefile presents the victims of crimes. No matter what sort of life they led, Anonymous always relays the positive aspects about the person...who loved them, who misses them & how their loved one's death affected them and the community. Too often, details in true crime puts the focus on the killer; Casefile does an amazing job of being incredibly respectful of the victims & families affected.
