This is the last of our purity culture series. For this last episode we had an amazing conversation with Mattie Jo Cowsert. Before terms like “deconstruction” “purity culture” or “Exvangelical'' became hashtags all over the internet, Mattie Jo’ popular blog God, Sex & Rich People exposed the sometimes painful, sometimes hilarious realities of a young female Exvangelical navigating the diversity of Big Apple, working for the 1%, and dating in a city that never sleeps (and never stops sleeping around). This is her story.

They are both Boston-based licensed psychotherapists and certified sex therapists who work with clients in Massachusetts. They currently live in Utrecht, The Netherlands. They specialize in helping couples with negative religious backgrounds discover sexuality that works for their partnership.

This is one of the few episodes we will be releasing over the next few weeks regarding purity culture. If you've been listening to us for a while, you know purity culture is something that often comes up in our episodes and I wanted to do a mini-series focusing on it.
