What does it truly mean to believe Jesus at His word?

As we finish John 4, we’re challenged with an important heart question: Is our faith in Jesus dependent on what He can do for us—or simply on who He is?

In today’s devotional Bible study, we walk through John 4:43–52, the healing of the official’s son, and reflect on a powerful truth: sometimes faith means trusting Jesus before we ever see the evidence.

Through Scripture observation, devotional reflection, and honest conversation, we explore:

• Whether signs and wonders should be the foundation of our faith

• How urgency can draw us closer to God

• What it means to take Jesus at His word—even when healing feels delayed
