  • All her life, Estella Mena was a guardian to those she loved. Driven, diligent, and fierce, the high school senior worked as a security guard at an office building in Sunnyvale, California. But on October 27th, 1979, Estella had no one to protect her but herself. While working her job, a man entered the office, attempted to sexually assault her, and stabbed her to death. For over 40 years, her murder went unsolved.
