Cooking For Athletes From MMA Legend To US Open Champion With Jen Nickle

  • Summary

  • In episode 004, I’m interviewing professional chef Jennifer Nickle. Jen has trained and cooked in numerous fine dining restaurants in Toronto, Montreal and New York City. In 2009, Jen became the personal chef for MMA legend Georges St-Pierre, accompanying him and his team of coaches to seven title defences. She later went on to work with Toronto Maple Leafs and US Open Champion Sloane Stephens.

Jen and I talk about how she got into cooking, after initially planning to pursue zoology and photojournalism. We talk about her experience cooking for professional athletes, and draw parallels to cooking for just about anyone. Listen in to learn how Jen would approach cooking for an athlete, who needs a super high calorie diet, and to get her tips  on making a proper frittata, as well as one surprising thing she likes doing to a cabbage.
