This VERY important episode of the Crime Bistro podcast goes over the case of Marcellus Williams, a Missouri man who is scheduled to be executed on September 24th of this year - less than 2 months away. Marcellus Williams has been exonerated of wrongdoing in this case based on new DNA evidence, however, this DNA evidence has yet to be reviewed by a court, and his execution date still stands. We need to get the word out about this case, and Marcellus Williams deserves his day in court to review this evidence! We will also dive into a disturbing pattern that is emerging in Missouri regarding the Attorney General, and other wrongful conviction cases where the defendants are being treated unfairly. For so many years, this case baffled and frustrated investigators, and with new forensic technology and testing, the Lady of the Dunes has reclaimed her identity, and laid to rest among her loved ones from so long ago.
